Understanding Image Link Replacer

The Image Link Replacer provides a unique backlinking approach by making images clickable. When users click on images in your articles, they’re directed to target URLs—either external client sites or internal content within your network.

Key Difference from Keyword Link Replacer:

  • Keyword Link Replacer: Converts text keywords into clickable links
  • Image Link Replacer: Makes images clickable AND replaces existing images with new ones

Important: Image Link Replacer doesn’t just add links to existing images—it replaces the images entirely with new images that you upload. The new images then contain the backlinks.

Image Link Replacer Dashboard

The dashboard displays all your image backlink campaigns with the following information:

  • Campaign Name: Identifier for the image backlink campaign
  • Customer Name: Client or project assignment
  • Tags: Organizational labels
  • Category: Subdomain/category where backlinks are placed
  • Keyword: Keywords used to filter articles
  • Type: Image type or embed type (youtube, iframe, google_map)
  • URLs: Target URLs for backlinks
  • Total URLs: Number of image backlinks created
  • Edit/Delete: Campaign management options

You can filter campaigns by type and customer, making it easy to manage image backlink campaigns across multiple clients and projects.

Creating External Image Backlink Campaigns

External image backlinks direct users from your private blog network to external websites—typically client sites or money sites.

Click Create Backlinks in the top right corner, then select External Backlinks.

Let’s examine the configuration fields:

Campaign Title
Enter a descriptive name for this image backlink campaign.

Examples:

  • “Client ABC Product Images Q1 2025”
  • “Dental Clinic Photo Backlinks”
  • “Real Estate Listing Image Campaign”

Customer Management
Choose to create a new customer or assign to an existing customer:

  • New Customer: Uncheck “Existing Customer” and enter a new name
  • Existing Customer: Check the box and select from dropdown

Tags
Add organizational tags separated by pipes: tag1|tag2|tag3

Keyword to Search
Enter keywords to filter which articles should be eligible for image backlinks. Only articles containing these keywords will be listed.

Format: keyword1|keyword2|keyword3

Example: dental implants|cosmetic dentistry|smile makeover

Articles Before Date
Filter articles published before a specific date. This helps target older content or exclude very recent posts.

Description
Add internal notes about this campaign for your reference.

Multiple URLs
Enter the destination URLs where image clicks should direct users. Enter one URL per line.

Critical Requirements:

  • Include the protocol: https:// or http://
  • Valid format: https://www.client-website.com
  • Invalid format: www.client-website.com

URL Rotation: When multiple URLs are provided, the system randomly selects one URL for each image backlink, creating natural distribution.

Replace Images Section

This is the critical component that distinguishes Image Link Replacer from other backlink tools.

Select Images
Click the Select Images button to upload new images that will replace existing article images.

Supported Formats:

  • JPG/JPEG
  • PNG

Image Requirements:

  • Clear, high-quality images relevant to your content
  • Appropriate dimensions (recommended: 800×600 or larger)
  • Optimized file size (under 500KB recommended for performance)

How Image Replacement Works:

  1. You upload new images
  2. System searches selected articles for existing images
  3. Existing article images are replaced with your uploaded images
  4. New images become clickable backlinks to your target URLs

Strategy Tip: Upload multiple images so different articles receive different images, creating visual diversity across your network.

Use Articles That Already Have Image Links or Image Replaced
This checkbox determines whether articles with existing image links are included in the campaign.

When unchecked (default):

  • Only articles WITHOUT existing image links are eligible
  • Prevents over-optimization of certain posts
  • Ensures even distribution across network

When checked:

  • Articles with existing image links are included
  • Useful for updating old image backlink campaigns
  • Can create multiple image backlinks per article

Recommendation: Leave unchecked for most campaigns to avoid concentrating too many image backlinks in individual posts.

Spread Across How Many Number of Days
Enter the number of days over which image backlinks should be created.

Distribution Calculation:

  • If you select 10 articles and set 5 days
  • Result: 2 image replacements per day for 5 days

Start Date
Select when the campaign should begin. Choose today for immediate start or a future date for scheduled campaigns.

Post Now
Check this box to bypass scheduling and create all image backlinks immediately. When enabled:

  • “Spread Across” setting is ignored
  • “Start Date” is ignored
  • All image replacements happen within minutes

Article Selection for Image Backlinks

Search Category
Enter a category/subdomain name to narrow your search.

Filter Categories by Tags
Filter categories with specific tags: tag1|tag2

Select Category from Which URLs Have Been Generated
Choose which categories/subdomains should be searched for articles. Use Ctrl+Click (Windows) or Cmd+Click (Mac) to select multiple categories.

Search Posts
After selecting categories, click Search Posts to generate a list of articles containing your target keywords.

If Posts Found
A list appears showing matching articles. Review the list and select which articles should receive image backlinks.

Selection Strategy:

  • Choose articles where images add value
  • Ensure images are contextually relevant
  • Avoid articles where image replacement might confuse readers
  • Select articles across multiple subdomains for distribution

No Posts Found?
If the search returns no results:

  • Try broader keywords
  • Adjust date range filters
  • Select different categories
  • Verify keywords exist in published content

Saving the External Image Backlink Campaign

After configuring all settings and uploading images, click Save to create the campaign.

What Happens Next:

  1. Campaign is saved to database
  2. Image replacements are scheduled according to settings
  3. Background processes begin replacing images and creating backlinks
  4. Progress visible in Logs → Background Processes

Monitoring the Campaign: Navigate to Logs → Background Processes to view:

  • Campaign status
  • Number of images replaced
  • Backlinks created
  • Any errors encountered

Verification Steps:

  1. Open several articles from your target list
  2. Verify old images were replaced with new uploaded images
  3. Click on the new images to confirm they link to target URLs
  4. Test that links open correctly (same tab or new tab)
  5. Check image display quality and relevance

Creating Internal Image Backlink Campaigns

Internal image backlinks create visual connections within your private blog network, directing users from one piece of content to another through clickable images.

Click Create Backlinks and select Internal Backlinks.

Like internal text backlinks, image campaigns have two sections:

Backlink Source (Left Section)
Articles that will contain the clickable images with backlinks

Backlink Target (Right Section)
Articles or subdomain homepages that images will link to

The upper configuration fields are identical to external image backlinks:

  • Campaign Title
  • Customer Name
  • Tags
  • Description
  • Total Number of Backlinks
  • Spread Across Days
  • Start Date
  • Post Now
  • Replace Images (upload new images)

The key difference is in how you configure source and target articles.

Keyword to Search
Enter keywords to find source articles (articles that will contain the clickable images).

Article Date Range
Filter source articles by publication date (From and To dates).

Search Category
Search for specific categories/subdomains by name.

Filter Categories by Tags
Use tags to identify relevant source categories.

Select Categories
Choose which categories/subdomains should be searched for source articles.

After selecting categories, click Search Posts to list matching articles. Select which posts should contain the image backlinks.

Keyword to Search
Enter keywords to find target articles (articles that will receive image backlinks).

Article Date Range
Filter target articles by publication date.

Search Category
Search for specific target categories/subdomains.

Filter Categories by Tags
Use tags to filter target categories.

Select Categories
Choose categories where target articles are located.

Target Type Options:

Option 1: Link to Subdomain Homepages
Check the Subdomain Homepage checkbox to make images link to subdomain home pages rather than individual posts.

Use Case: Building authority for subdomain homepages through visual backlinks from multiple posts across your network.

Selection: Choose which subdomains should receive homepage image backlinks.

Option 2: Link to Specific Posts
Leave Subdomain Homepage unchecked to link images to specific target articles.

Use Case: Creating visual connections between related content, supporting pillar articles, or building topic clusters.

Selection: Click Search Posts and select specific target articles that images should link to.

Saving Internal Image Backlink Campaigns

After configuring both source and target sections:

  1. Review all settings
  2. Verify uploaded images are appropriate
  3. Confirm source and target articles are correct
  4. Click Save to create the campaign

Campaign Execution:

  • Images are replaced in source articles
  • New images link to target posts/subdomains
  • Background processes handle scheduling
  • Monitor progress in Logs → Background Processes

Verification:

  1. Open source articles
  2. Confirm new images replaced old images
  3. Click images to verify they link to correct targets
  4. Check that links point to proper internal pages
  5. Verify image quality and contextual relevance
