Best Practices for Keyword Generator

  1. Start Broad for Maximum Variety

Use general seed keywords to get diverse suggestions:

  • Instead of “emergency dental implants Los Angeles”, start with “dental implants”
  • Let the prefixes and suffixes create the variations
  1. Use for Large-Scale Projects

The Keyword Generator excels when you need:

  • 1,000+ keywords for multiple subdomains
  • Comprehensive coverage of a niche
  • Variations for testing and optimization
  1. Strategic Prefix/Suffix Selection

Choose modifiers that match user intent:

  • Commercial intent: “buy”, “price”, “cost”, “cheap”, “discount”
  • Informational: “how to”, “guide”, “tips”, “tutorial”
  • Local: “near me”, city names, “local”
  • Temporal: Current year, “today”, “now”
  1. Monitor Results Periodically

Don’t let the generator run indefinitely:

  • Check results after 5-10 minutes
  • Adjust settings if keywords aren’t relevant
  • Stop generation once you have sufficient keywords
  1. Filter and Refine

After generation:

  • Export the full list
  • Use Excel or Google Sheets to filter further
  • Remove irrelevant or low-quality variations
  • Group similar keywords for subdomain assignment

Example Workflow:

  1. Enter seed keyword: “plumbing services”
  2. Set prefixes: “emergency”, “affordable”, “licensed”
  3. Set suffixes: “near me”, city names, “24 hour”
  4. Generate 1,000 keywords
  5. Export to CSV
  6. Filter for keywords with 3+ words
  7. Group by intent (emergency, cost-focused, location)
  8. Create subdomains for top keyword groups
