< Back Main Project Management Tags Management Print PostedDecember 26, 2025 UpdatedDecember 26, 2025 ByTSDadmin Understanding Tags in Turbo Subdomains Tags are organizational tools that help you categorize and filter subdomains, campaigns, and content throughout the plugin. Think of tags as labels that group related items together. Common tag uses: Organizing by niche (e.g., “Dental,” “Plumbing,” “Legal”) Grouping by client (e.g., “Client A,” “Client B”) Categorizing by campaign type (e.g., “Q1 2025,” “Seasonal”) Filtering by geographic region (e.g., “California,” “New York”) Navigate to Project Management → Tags to manage your tags. Tags Dashboard Overview The Tags dashboard displays all tags in a comprehensive table with the following information: Table Columns: Name: The tag name (e.g., “Amazon,” “Beverage,” “Category 1”) Description: Optional description explaining the tag’s purpose (usually empty) Preview: Visual badge showing how the tag appears (color-coded) Created By: User who created the tag (shows “164news” with user avatar) Created At: Date and time when tag was created (e.g., “2025-12-11 12:02:04 GMT”) Last Updated: Most recent modification date Edit: Blue edit button for modifying the tag Delete: Red delete button for removing the tag Example tags shown: Amazon (gray badge) Beverage (gray badge) Category 1 (green badge) Customer 1 (red badge) Discount (orange badge) Group 1 (purple badge) New Tag (gray badge with dark text) The dashboard shows “Showing 1 to 7 of 7 entries” indicating all tags are displayed. Creating a New Tag To create a tag: Click the Create New Tag button in the top right corner A creation form appears with fields for: Tag Name: Enter a descriptive name Description: Optional details about the tag’s purpose Color (if available): Select a color for visual distinction Click Create Tag to save Naming Best Practices: Use clear, descriptive names (e.g., “Los Angeles Dental Clinics” rather than “LAD”) Be consistent with naming conventions across your network Consider using prefixes for related tags (e.g., “Client-ABC,” “Client-XYZ”) Example: Creating a tag named “Seasonal-Summer2025” with description “Campaigns running during summer 2025 promotion period” Editing an Existing Tag To modify a tag: Click the blue Edit button next to the tag you want to change The tag edit form appears with current values populated Modify the tag name and/or description Click the Update button to save changes What updates when you edit a tag: The tag name updates everywhere it’s used (subdomains, campaigns, backlink campaigns) The description updates in the tags list All associations remain intact—nothing is removed or broken Example: Changing “Q4” to “Q4-2024” to be more specific about the time period. Deleting a Tag To remove a tag from your system: Click the red Delete button next to the tag Confirm the deletion when prompted What happens when you delete a tag: The tag is removed from the tags list The tag is removed from all subdomains and campaigns where it was applied No subdomains or campaigns are deleted—only the tag association is removed When to delete tags: Project completed and no longer needed Tag created by mistake Consolidating similar tags into one Warning: Deleting a tag cannot be undone. If you’ve used the tag extensively for filtering and organization, you’ll lose that organizational structure. Using Tags for Filtering Throughout Turbo Subdomains, you can filter by tags in multiple locations: In Subdomain Management: Filter subdomains by tag to see only those tagged with specific labels Example: Select “Amazon” tag to see only Amazon-related subdomains In Campaign Management: Filter campaigns by tag in the various campaign dashboards Use the “Filter by Tags” search box at the top of campaign lists In Backlink Campaigns: Filter campaigns by tag when viewing Keyword Replacer or Backlink Generator lists Helps find specific client campaigns quickly Example Workflow: Tag all dental clinic subdomains with “Dental” Tag all Los Angeles-based subdomains with “Los-Angeles” Filter by both tags to see only Los Angeles dental clinic subdomains Create targeted campaigns for this specific subset Tag Organization Strategies By Niche: Create tags for each industry vertical you’re working in: “Dental” “Plumbing” “Legal” “Medical” “Real Estate” By Client: If you’re an agency managing multiple clients: “Client-ABC-Corp” “Client-XYZ-Inc” “Client-John-Doe” By Geography: Organize by location for local SEO campaigns: “California” “New-York” “Texas” “Los-Angeles” “San-Francisco” By Campaign Timing: Track seasonal or time-based campaigns: “Q1-2025” “Summer-Sale” “Holiday-2024” “Evergreen” By Campaign Type: Differentiate campaign strategies: “High-Priority” “Testing” “Maintenance” “New-Launch” Combination Strategy Example: You might have a subdomain tagged with: “Dental”, “Los-Angeles”, “Client-ABC”, “Q1-2025” This allows you to filter by any combination to find exactly what you need.
